Hi everyone,
Really looking forward to our upcoming trip. The countdown official begins today for Katie and me. We are planning on leaving as early as Thurs. night and making a few hours headway, possibly to Conn./RI. to arrive earlier. Decision TBD by this weeks workload.
HIghlights and things I'm looking forward to:
1. Blueberry picking - this is a highlight on a sunny day.
2. Ledo Deck happy hours, emphasis on happy. 4-... daily.
3. Lobster dinner at the house.
4. Kayak trip to Tubby's in town - ice cream and foot long hot dog, please
5. Ballards Taxidermy Experience.
6. Seafood basket and lobster roll at Harraseeket lobster shack. Brilliant!
7. Gold panning - at $1618/ounce this is hard to pass up.
8. Freeport trip - Ben and Jerry's, LL Bean, shops, shops, and more shops.
9. Camden trip
10. Sail sail sail - try not to flip the boat.
11. Sunbathing in the pond, sunbathing on the lake, sunbathing in the hammock......
12. Kayak exploration trip to Norris Island.
13. Airplane rides!
14. Fire up the grill - Grill Fest 2012
15. Rope swing - Love Pond
16. Tennis/volleyball at the rec. center
17. Gameathon, Bridge Tourny, and trivia night
18. Movie night (dad) - foreign films banned, sorry.
19. Stargazing and satellite fly-over watch - any giving evening from the dock.
20. Horseshoe Tournament in the yard.
21. Beers and lifejackets.
I'm bringing cigars, bourbon, and Walter. Other than a bathing suit and sunblock you don't need much else. Weather looks spot on. Highs in the low 80's and lows in the high 50's. Hopefully we see plenty of sun this year.
